CH

ninna danigaagi, ninna karegaagi
ninna saluvaagi kaayuvE
teera baLi bandu neenu nanagondu sOjigadante kaaNuve

onTi iruvaaga kunTu nepa tOri
banda kanasella ninnadu
naanu anuraagi neene nanagaagi ennuva bhaavane nannadu
kaNNinallEne hommide kOmala kOrike
muttina ankita bEkalla oppandake

-----------------
just to hear your voice, just to get your call
just for you I would wait always
You come close and to me you look
like a beautiful wonder

When I'm alone, with a lame excuse
you invade all my dreams
I am a lover and you are mine
such feelings are mine
In the eyes, it arose, a humble request of
A kiss as a proof of the agreement

hedaruta araLide naana hambala ninnanE talupalu
manasali saviganasina saale nintide angaDi tereyalu
elle naa hOdaru gamana illE ide
sanihavE nee bEkennuva haTavu hechchaagide
eega chandrana oppige bEkenu sallaapake?

--------------------
A little scared it blooms, the desire to reach you
Theres a whole queue of sweet dreams waiting for the heart's shop to open
wherever I go, my focus is here itself
The stubborness to be with you has increased
Do you need the permission of the moon for romance?
--------------------

3.

nenapina beediya ella gODegu ninnade mogavide
saligeya takaraarina saNNa kOpaku bEreyE sukhavide
innU impaagide kareva ninna swara
hrudayadali endendigU irali hastaakshara
bEga mooDali matsara ee bhoomi aakaashake

-----------------
Every wall of memory has your face on it
In the lighter moments of anger and small fights, there is an enjoyable moment
You voice sounds even more melodious when you call
Let your signature always remain in the heart
Let there soon be jealousy between the earth and the sky

    1. Poetry is left to ones interpretation and I wouldn't be doing justice to translate the essence of this song. My objective was to provide the meaning of the words and leave the interpretation to the listener as translation cannot capture what the poet portrayed.

Having said that, one of the possible interpretations of this could be that though the earth and sky see each other, they never meet. So he is hoping that she would meet him soon and make the sky and earth jealous of their encounter

    2. Yes...earth and sky should have jealousy thinking about the bonding/togetherness between these two.
Eventhough earth and sky never meet but they should feel jealous looking at these two together.
This is how poet explained wonderfully about the relationship.
Hats off to Jayant kaikini sir.
